The candidate:
Essential:
- Proactive and Client focused CAD Technician
- A desire for career progression within a growing, employee-owned company.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit
- 1-3 years of experience as a CAD Technician in a civil engineering consultancy or related field.
- Experience of some of the following structures - bridges, tunnels, stations & buildings and design using various materials, eg - concrete, steel, timber, masonry
- Strong technical drawing skills with proficiency in CAD software.
- Good understanding of civil engineering design principles.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Produce high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, structures, and site layouts.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect design requirements.
- Modify and update drawings as required, incorporating changes and feedback from the design team
- Maintain organized records of CAD files, ensuring that all documents are stored and controlled according to company procedures.
- Carry out administrative functions as required by the Senior Technician.
- Work to project timelines, budgets, and communication with Project Managers
- Managing and building relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
- Attending meetings representing MHB and the design team
The successful candidate will report to our Croydon Office and work closely with discipline heads based in the other MHB offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and York.
