Applying Live Rail Insight Where It Matters

We are now an Affiliate Member of the Rail Safety and Standards Board.
Not as a signal of alignment, but as a practical input into how we work.
Affiliate membership gives us early access to emerging research, development activity and evolving best practice that will shape future rail standards. That matters because many delivery challenges appear before guidance is formalised, not after.
On live rail projects, the hardest moments rarely come from the standards themselves. They come from what happens when conditions change. Access windows move. Temporary works assumptions are challenged. Interfaces between disciplines tighten. Decisions that once felt settled suddenly need to be re-examined under pressure.
Affiliate membership gives us direct access to current research, emerging guidance and industry learning that reflects how the railway is actually operating today. That matters because many project risks lie between legacy guidance and current conditions.
In practical terms, this helps us test decisions earlier. It strengthens the basis for assurance conversations. It reduces rework when constraints shift. It supports clearer, more defensible judgment in high-risk environments where safety, access and programme are tightly coupled.
This insight directly informs how we approach temporary works, access strategy and design assurance for operational assets. It does not replace engineering judgement. It sharpens it.
For our clients, the value is simple. Fewer surprises. Better-informed decisions. Greater confidence that the approach taken reflects current industry thinking, not outdated assumptions.
That is how we see RSSB membership.
Not as an endorsement, but as another way to work smarter and safer.
