Gillian Pettigrew Coast to Coast Challenge Update
In September I completed one of the toughest challenges I have chosen to do with a group of 18 people in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support - I cycled the Pyrenees.
I completed 14 Cols and over 400 miles from the Saint Jean de Luz on the Atlantic Coast to Collioure on the Mediterranean Coast over 7 days. No one can brief you on how tough this challenge was going to be physically and mentally but we all made it (just about in one piece).
I couldn’t have done it without the support of everyone on the trip but especially my husband Johnathan, my dad Jim, my brother Callum and my sister-in-law Danika.
Thank you to everyone who sent messages of support and sponsored us! We have raised over £17,000 as a family and over £65,700 as a group. Thank you.
