MHB Consultants recently completed the design for masonry repairs to a platform retaining wall and pedestrian access stairs at Busby Station.

Ground anchors were installed into the platform retaining wall to make it secure, this enabled the contractors to safely remove the stair treads and sections of the stair case walls.

Sections of the retaining wall were also thickened with masonry brickwork, and the staircase was infilled with granular fill.

Precast concrete stairs were installed and a new landing was constructed at road level to be compliant with the Department of Transport Design Standards for Accessible Railway Stations.

Works were completed by CPMS during Summer 2019.
